My jewelry designs are influenced by natural forms and textures. I typically have a design in mind but I work in a very organic way. Rather than forcefully imposing my design onto the metal, I work with the materials and allow the forms to develop naturally during the creation process. Metal has an organic nature to it and working in this style allows my pieces to take on a unique, natural appearance. The presence of hammer and file marks, as well as heavy patinas, are important elements that demonstrate the mark of the maker, giving each piece its own individual identity.
My jewelry is always designed with the wearer in mind. Hand-formed metal components are sealed with Midas Metal Lacquer, meaning that the materials and patinas will not change (oxidize) or react with skin contact.
My neck pieces are all made of solid sterling silver that has been antiqued with a patina. The torque neck pieces are forged by hand in my shop, while the chains are supplied from Italy. Chain lengths are available in 18", but can be custom ordered in 20" and 24".
Ear wires are solid Niobium (a hypoallergenic alloy). Sterling silver wires are available upon request.
